The Armed return with The Future Is Here and Everything Needs to Be Destroyed, a furious and genre-defying follow-up to Perfect Saviors. Having completed a trilogy dissecting artistic authenticity in the digital age, the band scrapped all conceptual frameworks in favour of instinct, urgency and raw expression. The result is an album steeped in Weltschmerz_a howl against the chasm between our ideals and a collapsing reality. "This record rejects sanitized, G-rated rebellion curated for upper middle-class tastes," says vocalist Tony Wolski. "It's music for a statistically wealthy population that somehow can't afford food or medicine_scrolling through vacation photos, gym selfies, and images of child amputees in the same feed. It reflects the dissociation required just to exist in that reality." Featuring contributions from a broad cast including Ken Szymanski, Patrick Shiroishi, Urian Hackney, Kurt Ballou, Troy Van Leeuwen, Meghan O'Neil, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, and many more, this is The Armed at their most direct, unfiltered and confrontational.
