D.O.A. - THE BLACK SPOT
The Canadian punk/hardcore classic "The Black Spot" (1995) by West Coast legends D.O.A. feat. Joey Shithead Keithley is being re-released on vinyl for the first time in three decades. . Since the late 1970s, Vancouver's D.O.A. fronted by activist and scene icon Joey Shithead Keithley have been among the most consistent and uncompromising voices in North American hardcore. Originally released in 1995 and created under tragic circumstances, The Black Spot marks a special chapter in the band's history: after the death of drummer Ken Jensen, John Wright (No Means No) took over the drums at short notice a stroke of luck that made these sixteen tracks one of the band's most intense, wildest and emotionally charged works. With songs like "Blind Men," "Road Kill," "I Know Who You Are," "Kill Ya Later," and "Big Guys Like D.O.A.," the band presents itself in absolute top form: raw, direct, politically charged, and full of iconic West Coast hardcore energy.
