For The Roses is the fifth album by Canadian singer-songwriter, Joni Mitchell. The album was released in 1972 and was the direct sequel to the album sensation Blue, today recognized as one of the best albums in music history.

 

Although Blue probably overshadows some of Joni Mitchell's other achievements, she released many great albums in the 1970s, and For The Roses is definitely among the best works in Mitchell's impressive discography.

 

In celebration of the 50th anniversary, the album is reissued on vinyl with a new remaster.
