BEASTS OF BOURBON - BLACK MILK
Originally released in 1990 on Red Eye Records, Black Milk captures The Beasts Of Bourbon in a more deliberate, shadowy frame of mind, where the chaos of earlier recordings gives way to a slower, heavier pull. The songs creep rather than explode, built on thick, dragging rhythms and guitar lines that feel worn, almost weathered, as if they've been played deep into the night. There's a sense of distance and restraint here, with space used as much as sound, creating an atmosphere that lingers rather than hits all at once. A murkier, more reflective side of the band: subdued, uneasy, and quietly intense.
