STUNNING APPEARANCE AT THE VERY FIRST ROCK IN RIO FESTIVAL

Whitesnake’s tour supporting their well received 1984 album Slide It In began in Dublin on 17th February, just two weeks after the new record’s European release. The tour continued across the UK and continental Europe before heading to Japan and then North America, ending to a greater extent in Pittsburgh, PA on 30th November. But in the new year, Whitesnake decamped to Brazil for an appearance at the Rock In Rio festival on 19th January 1985, the first instalment of what has become the biggest rock festival in the world and which continues to this day.
