After 20+ years spent fulfilling their contract for Atlantic Records — a contract Williams signed as a mere teenager — Paramore announced in December 2023 that they were finally an independent band. This surprise collection of solo tracks by Hayley Williams is self-released on her new venture, Post Atlantic.

 

These songs come as the third batch of work released from Williams as a solo artist. The COVID era saw her release two extraordinary albums: 2020’s Petals For Armor and 2021’s Flowers for Vases. Both albums were gorgeous and stark meditations on loss, offering a striking contrast to the high-energy, up-tempo muscle she displays in Paramore.

 

The album 'Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party' received rave reviews upon its official digital release on 28 August, 2025. NME and Kerrang! awarded the album perfect scores while Rolling Stone gave a 4.5/5 rating and Paste Magazine scores it 9.2/10, making the album one of the best reviewed of the year upon release.
