This was the album that launched the career of Eagles of Death Metal. It is still one of their most popular albums, with the singles "Miss Alissa" and "I Only Want You". The album also features guest appearances from Nick Oliveri, Alain Johannes and others. The band's roots go back further than the album itself: Eagles of Death Metal first appeared on Homme's Desert Sessions Volumes 3-4 in 1998, with a somewhat different sound to Peace, Love, Death Metal, which had more radio-friendly vocal harmonies.
