he Holygators are a Lisbon born rhythm&blues band brought to life by the "blues brothers" R.B. Vercetti and El Normizom.

This 5 cat band has several gigs under their belt and have played in some of the most happening places in the Portuguese Rock'n'Roll scene.

 

They've planted their flag amongst a groing number of down and dirty die hard followers and are now getting ready to release their first ...

single "Rock dos Abutres" ("Vulture Rock" if you will) which includes three original songs, one of which was recorded live at their first gig

at the Riverside Blues Festival '11.

 

Blues, Rock'n'Roll, Soul and Garage Surf make up the sound swamp where these Holygators dwell.

 

Vercetti's dirty harp riffs and El Normizom's 1950's guitar twangings meld beatifully with the jazzy rhythmic section made up by drummer

Machine Gunn Andrew and bass player John "Back Bone" Medina. Sir John Clayfields III's piano brings along a touch of class and more

often than not some smashing guests light up the stage for a mind blowing "back to basics" session with some of the song book classics

that made up the history of Blues and Rock'n'Roll.
