CHEAP TRICK

 More from this Band

On New Year's Eve 1979, Cheap Trick, riding a crest of massive international success via their multi-platinum At Budokan album, and the newly released Dream Police, played L.A.'s indoor Forum Arena and rocked it to its very foundations.
Anyone who had suspicions that the intensity of Budokan was somehow manufactured could have tuned in to KLO FM, who broadcast the entire show, and heard for themselves that Cheap Trick was indeed the real deal.
Listening to this staggering performance more than 35 years later is jaw dropping, and testimony to a group who were way ahead of the pack at this time, playing a sophisticated power-pop/rock hybrid that few if any of their contemporaries could come lose to realising.
