From Oporto, Portugal, the trio was established in May 2007.
In 2008 the band releases “Other Theories of Crime” still available worldwide in digital format through Poison Tree Records (USA). The three tracks featured in this EP have been the beacons on the band´s set list for the dozens of gigs done all over Portugal and Spain.
"When Love Left The Masquerade" was mainly written by Ary and Xene, combining efforts since 1995, first as Crackdown, with two demo tapes; "Against the Rules" (1996) and the distinguished "Blame" (1997), produced by Luís Barros (Tarantula) at Rec 'n' Roll Studios and then as Str@in, the album "Purge" (1999) produced by Gonçalo Pereira.
The self produced debut was recorded, mixed and mastered by Pedro Mendes at Ultrasound Studios, Braga (Portugal) during last October [2011].
Although "When Love Left The Masquerade" is not a conceptual record, the ten songs in it flow like a single composition. The peaks can be easily spotted; the viral "Masquerade" and the hypnotic "Bomb Maker" are two of the most revealing moments of this wicked statement.
So far, this creative force operating in Assassinner's core have performed in all main festivals; SWR-Barroselas, Caos Emergente, Gaia em Peso, Penafiel Open Air, Ilha do Ermal and Paredes de Coura, just to mention the most significant.
Line-up: Xene (vocals and bass), Ary (guitar) and Miguel (drums).
