In 2011, Dear Telephone outlined with “Birth of a Robot” – their inaugural work – a nocturnal and austere musical approach, in contrast to the colorful, literary and cinematographic references that contaminate the intimate universe of their compositions.

After an intensive year of concerts and another half solely dedicated to the construction of their first LP, they now prepare to release “Taxi Ballad”. In a denser but heterogeneous mood, the band dives freely in their known fascination for everyday life and its contradictions, in the direct and puzzling speech of the characters that are embodied by the voices and in an hard and simple instrumentation.

Os Dear Telephone alinhavaram com “Birth of a Robot” (2011) – registo inaugural da banda – uma abordagem musical nocturna e austera em contraste com o colorido das referências literárias e cinematográficas que contaminam o universo intimista das suas composições.

Depois de um ano intensivo de concertos e outro meio dedicado exclusivamente à construção do primeiro longa duração, preparam-se para editar “Taxi Ballad”. Numa toada mais densa mas heterogénea, mergulham sem concessões no assumido fascínio pelo quotidiano e suas contradições, no discurso directo e desconcertante das personagens que as vozes encarnam e numa instrumentação dura e sem artifícios.
