The Clash are one of the most influential early punk rock bands alongside other groups such as the Ramones and the Sex Pistols. The Clash existed from 1976 - 1986 and they are still one of the most popular bands in the punk rock genre today. In 1980 the English band played a legendary concert in France, which was broadcast by the local radio station.
