Released at a pivotal moment in Opeth’s rise, "Deliverance" captures a band refusing to rest on its laurels.

Arriving in the wake of the resounding success of "Blackwater Park" and produced in collaboration with Steven Wilson, their sixth studio album stands out for its uncompromising power, captivating songwriting, and intoxicating atmosphere. While many contemporaries relied on tried-and-tested formulas to reinvent themselves, Opeth demonstrated true determination in their ambition and sonic exploration.

Two decades later, "Deliverance" remains a true gem of modern progressive metal. This new reissue offers another chance to rediscover an album whose power, innovation, and enduring legacy are just as striking today as they were upon its release.
