Eight years after "Slip of the Tongue", Whitesnake released their ninth studio album in 1997. After Whitesnake's huge worldwide success, the band's founder and lead singer David Coverdale set out to record his third solo album in 1995. However, the plan faltered when his record company forced him to change course and release Restless Heart under the name David Coverdale & Whitesnake. Despite the changes, the album was a Top 40 hit in the UK in 1997. Surprisingly, the album was never released in the US. That will change this autumn when Rhino releases several versions of Restless Heart, including a four-disc box set
