On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention's influential debut album, "Freak Out!", the album is now being released in a comprehensive Super Deluxe box set with 5 CDs + a Blu-ray.

 

The CDs contain the album's newly remastered 1966 stereo mix, a previously unreleased pre-master mix of "Freak Out!", the long-unavailable mono mix, live recordings with The Mothers at The Fillmore in San Francisco in 1966, as well as demos and a wealth of bonus material.

 

The Blu-ray disc contains the three different historical "Freak Out!" mixes from the Super Deluxe box in 192 kHz/24-bit and 96 kHz/24-bit Hi-Res Audio, as well as bonus material accompanied by custom-made visualizers with rare and previously unseen images. In addition, there are new Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround mixes created by Studio1LA.

 

The box also includes an expanded booklet with rare images, new essays, a brand new section with even more "Relevant Quotes", as well as Frank Zappa's original double-sided fold-out map, "Freak Out! Hot Spots Map"
