Finally, after over four years in the waiting, the new studio album from Norway’s prime Kunstmiliz; Solefald is ready to be unleashed. In the aftermath of the last studio album, Norrøn Livskunst (2010), the band toured across Europe for the first time in years, a Solefald remix album (The Circular Drain) was released, Cornelius publish several books and Lars continued his work as a TV producer. Earlier this year, a flair in shape of the EP Norrønasongen. Kosmopolis Nord signals that a new album is imminent. With the new album, “World Metal. Kosmopolis Sud”, Solefald challenges the listener with their complex musical diversity, taking the listener on a surreal adventure to truly unique musical settings and sound constellations yet to be discovered. Merging raw Norwegian Metal, Dutch Techno with Norse and African folk and rhythms, Solefald has beyond doubt crafted an out of the ordinary sound; World music with black edges. World Metal. Kosmopolis Sud sees Solefald return to 1999’s postmodern album Neonism both lyrically and musically.
