Finally available again on vinyl after decades, La Vie En Rose / Edith Piaf Sings in English (featuring Piaf singing English versions of ten of her most classic tunes) was originally released in 1956, when La Môme Piaf was at the apex of her career, and a huge star among English-speaking audiences as well. Beginning with the classic and iconic "La Vie En Rose", written in 1945 (and all the more delightful for fans to hear Piaf sing it with her endearing French accent), and ending with the classic "The Three Bells" (Les trois cloches), sung with the nine-piece all-male a cappella group known as Les Compagnons de la Chanson. A classic release by one of France's national treasures!
